Evidence-Based Hormone Therapies

Pregnenolone

Pregnenolone is the forerunner of many major hormones. It is formed from cholesterol through one metabolic reaction. Its formation is the first step to an impressive cascade of metabolic reactions that produce all other “steroid” hormones. Steroid hormones are chemicals made out of cholesterol such as the sex and adrenal hormones.
