The International Hormone Society is dedicated to achieving two primary goals:
Raising public awareness about the importance of specialized physicians who treat hormone imbalances related to aging, and advocating for their ability.
Collaborating within the medical community to advance preventive and therapeutic approaches for aging and related diseases across various specialties.
We strive to serve as a reliable source of accurate information. We understand it can be very difficult for physicians and the non-medically trained public to sort out facts from fiction. Our society and website aim to provide superior medical advice and healthcare solutions that meet the needs of physicians and their patients. Our focus is on disseminating reliable information and promoting well-balanced hormone therapies globally.
The International Hormone Society addresses the critical need for specialized societies focused on adult endocrine disorders, particularly in restoring hormone levels that decline with age to more youthful states.
We compile and analyze scientific and medical data to empower physicians in optimizing hormone therapies with improved efficacy and safety profiles. Our focus spans established and innovative treatments, including hormones such as IGF-1, growth hormone, vasopressin, DHEA, melatonin, thyroid, cortisol, and both female and male hormones. We also explore emerging peptides like follistatin and thymosin-alpha-1, as well as nutritional and dietary interventions that enhance hormone function.
The IHS website has 4 main goals:
Provide healthcare professionals with scientific insights and practical guidance for detecting and treating adult hormone imbalances, including pioneering therapies. We facilitate peer exchange through forums where physicians can share practical experiences.
Support scientific research to expand theoretical knowledge and establish guidelines for safe diagnostic and therapeutic methodologies based on valid scientific evidence.
Advocate for the use of hormone therapy not only in cases of severe deficiencies but also for moderate and mild deficiencies, which significantly impact health and quality of life. Correcting these imbalances can enhance longevity, mitigate aging effects, and improve overall well-being.
Equip physicians and patients with the necessary knowledge and resources to navigate medical controversies and opposing viewpoints, supported by scientific data and expertise gained through our courses and publications.
To accomplish these objectives, the society utilizes various communication tools across different platforms, including websites, social medias, audiovisual media, radio, television, educational programs (e.g., at universities and seminars), and any other relevant communication mediums. Additionally, the society organizes meetings ranging from lectures to congresses, conducts interviews with media outlets, and publishes scientific papers such as articles, reference books, journals, and other materials that investigate, validate, or demonstrate the efficacy of adult hormone therapy. This multifaceted approach ensures that the society reaches a diverse audience and disseminates accurate, evidence-based information about hormone therapy for both medical professionals and the general public. It emphasizes the importance of education, awareness, and scientific validation in promoting the understanding and utilization of hormone therapies in clinical practice.
